We hope you’ll join us this Sunday as Pastor Elden takes us through Matthew 15:21-28: “Persistent Hope.” Persistent hope is for all people who go to Christ Jesus; for those who seek Him are forever satisfied. Do you have persistent hope? Do you seek Jesus in desperation to be satisfied by the “Bread of Life?” Did you know you can raise others in your life to Him and He can answer your plea? Revive Kids every Sunday: Check-in starts at 10:50am and kids must be checked out as soon as service is over. Please go to the fellowship area after checking out your child so the volunteers can clean/lock up the rooms. Refreshments will be waiting!

This Sunday we will explore Matthew 14:13-21: You Give Them Something.”

Jesus has compassion on people, healing them and wants to provide for them and He calls you to come alongside with Him. (Mark 6:30-44; Luke 9:10-17; John 6:1-15; ref Matthew 15:29-39).

Have you shared Christ with someone lately? Who have you prayed for to know Christ? Who have you invited to Revive on Sunday, our groups, or any other event? We would love to hear your stories! You can email them here and you may be featured in our newsletter: Email your story.

We want to take a moment to give Glory to God for a successful Christmas party in December. Revive Church was able to gift $400 to Hope Against Trafficking. We pray that multiplies to reach, save, and bless many more survivors. Thank you also to Revive Fitness, Olivia, and Farah for ministering to these survivors each week.

Many of you may know Nour Fram, she is leaving this week and we want to wish her safe travels and let her know we pray for God’s will in her life, her health and holiness, all wrapped up in God’s love and for open doors for her to return. This Sunday We will venture in Matthew 14:1-12 about being “Heroes, not Herods.” Join us this Sunday and be encouraged that Jesus is the HERO and shares with His qualities with us, as disciples of Christ.

This Sunday right after service Pastor Elden will host a 20 minute “Who We Are” review in the fellowship area. So grab your refreshments and join him for an open Q&A and a quick overview about Revive Church!

Matthew 13:44-46: The Parables of the Hidden Treasure and the Pearl

44 “The kingdom of heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.

45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant looking for fine pearls. 46 When he found one of great value, he went away and sold everything he had and bought it.

Last week we kicked off the New Year in Matthew 13 with Kingdom Sowers and we hope you were blessed by it! This Sunday we will continue our mini series “Kingdom Sowers” with Matthew 13:31-35.

MATTHEW 13:31-35 (NASB)

The Mustard Seed
31 He presented another parable to them, saying, “The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field; 32 and this is smaller than all other seeds, but when it is full grown, it is larger than the garden plants and becomes a tree, so that the birds of the air come and nest in its branches.”

The Leaven
33 He spoke another parable to them, “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven, which a woman took and hid in three pecks of flour until it was all leavened.”
34 All these things Jesus spoke to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak to them without a parable. 35 This was to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet:
“I will open My mouth in parables;
I will utter things hidden since the foundation of the world.”

Happy New Year church family.

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday, January 8th at 11am.
In our Worship Gathering we will continue with “Kingdom Sowers” from Matthew 13:1-43, emphasizing verses 1-9 and 18-23.

We’re excited for what God has in store for Revive Church in 2023.

Please pray for God’s plans to minister to you, your family, and our community and that His will be done. Seek and ask the Lord, “What are you doing, Lord, and how do you want me (and all of us at Revive) to partner with you?”

Prayer at 10:45am: Those who come early are welcome to pray with us before church service. It has been very refreshing to sense the Lord’s presence throughout our Sunday gathering together.

Remember, disciples, to connect with Christ each day (John 15). Will you share Christ with someone this month by word and deed? Will you invite someone to Revive? Can you pray, “Lord, who do you want me to pray for and share Christ with?”

I hope this email finds you well during the Christmas/New Year break. As we take a pause this week from our regular gatherings, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for each and every one of you. Your commitment to Christ and to living out discipleship is truly inspiring, and I am blessed to be a part of this church with you.

I hope that you are able to find rest and renewal during this time, and that you are able to spend quality time with your loved ones. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any needs or prayer requests. We will return to regular service at 11am on January 8th!
